Join DFC on March 8th at 12pm for an informational webinar!

 

During the webinar, we will hear from Alan Berube of Brooking Metro who will share national economic growth trends. Followed by a presentation from DFC to introduce the findings from our recently released “Growth Occupations: Exploring Opportunities for More Equitable Participation in Detroit’s Growing Economy” report, introduce Detroit specific growth occupations, and explore ideas, innovations, and initiatives aimed at eliminating disparities in access to growth occupations based on race, geographic location, and educational attainment with a dynamic reaction panel.

 

Reaction panel includes:

  • BRIDGETTE GRAY, Chief Customer Officer with Opportunity@Work leads the Market Development and Customer Success team as Opportunity@Work scales the hiring of workers who are Skilled Through Alternative Routes (STARs) nationwide.
  • JOSH SIREFMAN, CEO with Michigan Central Innovation District works to advance the vision for the district and execute a plan that leverages placemaking, cross-sector collaboration, and real estate development to promote innovation and inclusion.
  • KYSHA FRAZIER, President & CEO with Corporation for a Skilled Workforce directs the organization’s overall strategic direction to provoke change in public policy and investment in workforce development.
  • QUENTIN MESSER, CEO with Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) leads business development and attraction, efforts in Michigan, with a focus on building a strong and equitable economy for all Michiganders.
